This book The Glare, tells the reader a little about me, BJ Watson the author.  As a child, I have always had a very vivid imagination, believing in a parallel world and even the supernatural. I have written many short stories... but only in my mind. Mainly, for my own amusement. Never had I even considered writing them down, but for a class assignment. When I did write something down, it was poetry. I can remember writing a poem about the Mustang that I fell in love with when first introduced by Ford. There was another poem that I gave to my 12th grade French teacher on the last day of class before graduation titled, Not Now but Maybe Later. It was a confession of sorts, an admission of guilt for our rebellious antics that past year. I can still remember some of the words. Of course, I wished later that I had made a copy and wondered if he had even read it.

 

             

 

               There have been quite a few more poems since then. The Glare is the first book that I have ever written which took nearly ten years to complete. It had played in my mind for many of those years. Many strange, mysterious, and unexplained happenings began when I first started which prolonged the time to write and consequently all the way to its conclusion. With errors codes of lost and corrupted files after many hours of writing, weeks, and sometimes months along with instances of loss pages due to actual computer crashes just before saving the files, caused me to give up writing for at least two years or more of the ten it took to complete.  Even so,  for some reason, the story never left my mind.  I restarted and would continue to work on it whenever the time would be allowed.  Unexpectantly, after an abrupt job termination and only working part-time, came the opportunity to finally finish the book. Mysteriously, the crazy and bizarre happenings began again, but I was more resolute and determined this time to finish it. The publisher even became a believer, convinced by strange events happening to her while dealing with The Glare.
